Splatoon Raiders for Switch 2 Now Available for Nearly 20% Off Preorder

Nintendo's New Pricing Strategy for Switch 2 Titles

Nintendo has recently unveiled a new pricing strategy aimed at reducing the cost of digital versions of upcoming first-party games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. For instance, the highly anticipated game Splatoon Raiders is now available for preorder. The digital version is priced at $49.99, while the physical edition will retail for $59.99, with a release date set for July 23rd.

Retailer Pricing Variations

Interestingly, both Amazon and Walmart are offering the cartridge version of Splatoon Raiders for a lower price of $49.94, making it slightly cheaper than its digital counterpart. It's worth noting that this title is not a direct sequel to Splatoon 3, but rather a spinoff featuring similar third-person gameplay with vibrant paint-splatting mechanics set in fresh environments.

Other Upcoming Titles with Discounts

Another title benefiting from this new pricing policy is Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, set to launch on May 21st. This side-scrolling adventure showcases a beautiful storybook art style and is priced at $69.99 for the physical version. However, both Amazon and Walmart have it available for preorder at $59.88, closely matching the digital edition's pricing.

Significant Savings Amid Rising Prices

In a time when many tech and gaming products are seeing price hikes, it's refreshing to see considerable discounts on physical games for the Switch 2. As of May 1st, it's important to note that Amazon has aligned its preorder promotion with Walmart for both Switch 2 titles, ensuring competitive pricing for eager gamers.
