Edan Alexander, 21, is the last living American citizen held by Hamas in Gaza. On Sunday, the Palestinian militant group said he would release him, a few days before President Trump goes to the Middle East.
Who is Edan Alexander?
Mr. Alexander is a double American Israeli citizen who grew up in Tenafly, NJ
In 2022, during his last year of high school, he joined Garin Tzabar, who prepared young people from all over the world to join the Israeli defense forces. He moved to Israel to serve in the army after graduating and was assigned to infantry.
